What’s Funny About Fads

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the latest fad: drinking celery juice on an empty stomach. Some of you might be wondering – are the benefits worth it? Well, yes. If it’s something healthy, I say it’s worth the try! The problem? Sometimes a trend gets mistaken for just that. While drinking celery juice has numerous benefits (which I’ll get to soon), what you don’t have to do it stress out about “having” to buy the latest juicer in order to reap the benefits.

Often, we read/hear/see about a trending health topic and we get super excited about it and are eager to try it out. While it’s great to be enthusiastic about our health, it can also be very overwhelming. For instance, I remember when I first learned in school about all the toxins in our homes and around us. What was the first thing I immediately wanted to do? Go home and throw it all out. While I had good intentions for my sister (who I live with) and I, it was a bit dramatic to be honest. I rationalized with myself and decided to finish the products I had spent a lot of money on, and replace them with healthier alternatives when they were done. This way, I didn’t throw out and spend a huge amount of money all at once, and I could scope out the best – and most affordable – natural products in the meanwhile.

So, how does this relate to celery juice? Well, a lot of people have heard of Anthony William, the “Medical Medium” and his rave about celery juice on an empty stomach. The benefits of it are awesome and I say give it a try, but if you cannot afford a $700 juicer, I’m with you. Don’t feel disappointed because you “only” have a Nutri-Bullet. You just wash, cut, and blend the celery then buy some cheap nut-milk bags and strain it! Health shouldn’t be about the latest and most expensive gadgets or some “magical supplement” that you need to buy. Take it one day at a time; eat natural, organic foods, get some movement in your day, and enjoy learning and the feel-good benefits of holistic health.

Finally, here are the benefits of the well-worth it celery juice: helps combat inflammation, it starves pathogens, is high in minerals (which help alkalize the body), hydrates on a deep cellular level, and can kill “bad” bacteria just to name a few. I’ve tried it myself over the last few weeks and have definitely noticed an improvement in my skin and digestion.

Give the Medical Medium blog a read for more information on it!
