Traditional Medicinals EveryDay Detox Lemon

Burdock is traditionally used in Herbal Medicine as an alterative to help remove accumulated waste products from the body; Stinging nettle is used in Herbal Medicine as a nutritive tonic.

Recommended dose: Adults: Drink 1 cup (2 tea bags) 2 times daily.
Directions for use: Pour 240 mL freshly boiled water over 2 tea bags and steep, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Gently squeeze the tea bags to release the remaining extract.
Duration of use: For prolonged use, consult a healthcare practitioner.

Ingredients:

Medicinal ingredients: Each tea bag (1.5 g) contains: organic burdock root (Arctium lappa) 450 mg, organic stinging nettle leaf (Urtica dioica) 450 mg, organic cleavers herb (Galium aparine) 225 mg, organic dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale) 225 mg.

Non medicinal ingredients: Organic lemon myrtle leaf (Backhousia citriodora).

Cautions: Consult a healthcare practitioner before taking if you have diabetes. There is limited evidence from preclinical studies that burdock may have hypoglycemic activity. Use by adults with renal failure and/or diabetes, and/or heart failure should be avoided because of possible complications due to hyperkalemia. Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family, such as burdock or dandelion, or if you are allergic to stinging nettle. If hypersensitivity or allergic reactions occur, discontinue use. Do not use if you have gall bladder disorder, or obstruction of the biliary tract, acute gallbladder inflammation, or in the case of active peptic ulcer. Discontinue use if you develop symptoms of liver trouble. Do not use if you have liver disorders, and/or bowel obstruction. Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
Known Adverse Reactions: In sensitive individuals, mild gastrointestinal upset (nausea, vomiting and diarrhea) or allergic reactions (itching, exanthema, hives) may occur from use of stinging nettle. The frequency is not known. Discomfort due to gastric hyperacidity may occur after taking herbs that contain bitter substances like dandelion.
